Ok, so while I was at work I had one of our tech guys install and load an SSD with Win10 and luckily enough my alienware has two internal storage bays so my old hard drive I am going to reformat it here shortly after I back up my saves, library, mods, etc. And then reinstall everything. I am hoping this is going to work, but it will probably be awhile before I can do any simming stuff so, wish me luck If I run into an issue, for those that I am in a competition, I may just need to make a new sim. I really don't want to load every single one of them to the exchange, if it will even work.
On a brighter note, with the SSD, running TS4 should making the loading times cut down drastically. It takes 11 seconds to load my operating system from there so .. .YAY! Might be worth giving it another chance. It's only the base anyway, and I probably have room for a couple of EPs but I'd have to be real picky.

It's done. This Million Simoleon home is DONE! I was having some issues trying to figure out what I could do, but had some help and so glad it's done so I can start updating on the Steam Family. The Master Suite for Argus and Velvet. The Nursery Laundry Room and a Flex Room. I'm probably going to convert mine for urns cause you know, GHOSTS!! Former Master Suite with a Secret Room, this room now belongs to Argus' sister, Rivet Audrey. When Argus renovated for a new master suite, he gave the old one to his sister to help out with the family business. What they don't know is that there is a secret room beyond the bathroom. This room is a darker part of their past that they don't know about. Will Rivet end up finding the room? And if so, will she dive into the secrets best left forgotten? Library/Office and 2 flex rooms. The two flex rooms here will be for artifacts from China, France and Egypt and the other room for gems. Audrey Rae, the teen of the family, loves adventure so she'll need a spot to display the new treasure she finds. Bathroom for guests/games room. The Games Room. The big surprise. A huge games room for mostly Audrey and her sister Raleigh and their friends. Whether they want to watch a movie, play some Hoops or Skee-ball, have a dance party, play some pool . . .or read? This is a room they can forget time exists in . .well at least until their bellies start to rumble or nature calls. I ended up doing a bit more work to the house. This is part of the attic space. The larger bedroom is Audrey Rae's and then her sister, Raleigh, has the smaller bedroom. They also have their own bathroom and a small living space. Wait til you check out the other room I did. It's a surprise, but very impressive. But I think this is enough updating for today *sticks tongue out*
I ended up evicting the family. Raleigh was almost a teen and I hadn't been able to play them properly with the reno, so they'll get a fresh start once I have finished the manor. They're saved to my library anyway as a fresh copy, so no biggie. I am also going to go back and I am going to use some of the buydebug lights instead of so many lights in the house. This also probably means that I'll have to redo the Founder Wine. But again, no biggie. Just to make this easier, I am going to go a slideshow of the rest of the main floor and a new outdoor space. So at the entrance I added two L shaped stairs to go upstairs. A formal living room with a grand piano, a bar and a digital aquarium. Not much for the hallway that leads to the outdoor space (a small garden and seating area) and the music room. And then a lot of instruments as well. So lets consider that room as "soundproof" lol. The exciting thing will be to get rid of a lot of those light fixtures with the buydebug. A nod of to Kgaff for the idea. She did a home for my property flip challenge and mentioned that she used them. I kinda forget that buydebug is there and what it offers.
I've been busy busy with not only the home itself, but playing the game at the same time, which was a bit difficult as there are no beds and there was no bathroom. So first the Bakery. I decided to get the Bakery from the store and placed it across the street from the Steam Manor. I decided that it was something they could pass down with the home. So I had all the adults start to bake to fill up their displays. To be honest I wasn't expecting such a big lot with three different bakeries, but I can make it work as they are all different in their own way. Rivet Audrey started making some Japanese cuisine when she got home, so I had Argus put them in his inventory to fill up some of the displays. The Spa has a hot tub, two massage tables and a steam room in the other wing. I decided a nice blue would added a calming element. I am thinking I may add the option for Tea Time instead of the couch as another way to relax in the space. You can access the indoor pool from the Spa. I kept the pool simple for the most part, well, if you call a waterfall simple lol. The only thing with the pool is that it is mostly dark as there are only four lights in the room' but with the amount of windows, there will be plenty of light in the day time. In this area, a spot to serve tea, a place to can harvestables for Jam and Preserves as well as a spot to bake. And then a family area. I decided to do a black splash on one wall, but I am thinking I may need to do it where the baking section is set up. I also decided to do a feature wall as soon as you come down the stairs. I love those stairs, as they curve. Now of course plenty of space to fill the area and you can not access the wine cellar from here. Speaking of the wine cellar, a bonus of Argus creating his very first wine as the Founder Wine. The Powder Room on the main floor is pretty skinny, but I was able to give it a classy look with a double vanity. It's a little dark in the room, as I forgot to turn on the lights, but I made sure to pay attention to a few details. The last pic is a bonus as well. The Entrance Way that led out to the Vineyard, I was trying to think of how to transition properly and came up with one way. I bumped out the wall on one side a bit and moved the little plant/decor item over to the other side. Plus it gives more room for either a painting, a clock or whatever else I'd like to do. I can't wait for winter to be over, so I can show off the vineyard.
I got quite a bit more done. First is the entrance way from the vineyard. I have it mostly complete, just waiting for it not to be winter, and I think I will get the fruits and nuts from the store to complete it, so stay tuned for that. So I'll need to decide how I want to transition from the entrance way into what the rooms are going to be on both sides. There is still quite a bit of openness, so I am thinking of using part of the space for an indoor pool and spa on the other side of the house. So, the Foyer (or Main Entrance). The black and white on the floor are two marbles I had created for the game. I think it's a great start to this Grand Main Entrance. A fireplace for those cold winter days, plenty of space to add pieces, and some wall space for paintings from the household or photographs. And I used one of the photos to be the founding ancestors of the Steam Family to add a bit more history to the home. Obviously the entire area isn't lit up, and I may change a few things as I still haven't added much in the way of windows except for the enclosed patio. So, during the spring and summer, with the amount of windows there will be lots of light in this room, and during the night, a great setting for romance in front of the fireplace. An option for either BBQ or Japanese cuisine. Looking on the Sims Store, there is also an option for the Brunch at the Old Mill which allows you to serve tea during tea time and Canning, with two new plants, corn and cucumber. So I definitely think I may add those as well. I wish they would separate the sets like they used to, I don't need all of them. The Old Mill set does have the option to have those stairs that go up, have a landing, and turn. I think those would be perfect for this home, especially if I modify them to look more modern and contemporary.
Still a lot more to do and plan. *Please note that this post contains swearing, because I swear when I am upset/angry. Don't like, don't read, and don't comment*
So we have something called the Before & After Thread on the Official Forums in Sims & Modelling. I was Damn fucking proud of my edits. I am a bit rusty, but I figured, hey why not practice makeup editing again with Layers. The Mock was meant to show case their personality and style. So as my model is a dramatic klepto, that's the style I went with. Which means bolder choices, and give the eyes a darker look. I think the eyes actually look bigger, and yeah, you can't see the grey eyes in a circular motion, just the bottom, it does add to her darker personality. I also posted my A3 for Pour Belle. And then this simmer comes along and first says, "I like our befores actually more as your afters." And then changed it to your befores. I mean, I still found it rude and as a put down. There was a small back and forth, that I found it disrespectful and how I felt about it. She pulled the, "Everyone always gets angry with me cuz I'm different." But then other people started talking about her age and her language barrier. I understood her just fine, but I don't agree, and I CHOSE not to respond. Like I give damn if she likes makeup or not. Is it her photo? No! Was I looking for a slap on the back for a job well done? No!! What I was looking to do was to share my edits. And that's it. Just SHARE them, FFS!!! But people had to add their two cents, but some of them rubbed me the wrong way. No, I don't need people to fucking rip my photo apart to show me what she was talking about. No, I don't need people to fucking justify her meaning. She can speak for herself, and so can I. But, I'm just angry that I just wanted to share some edits, and I've had people try to EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT I FUCKIN DID MYSELF. I know what my photos look like, I'm the one who fucking edited the photo So, I removed my photo, as I don't feel like seeing people try to fucking justify my editing skills any more. Like it, don't like it. I. Don't. Give. A. Fuck! After giving it some thought for the last few hours, I've decided to pull my app and delete the photo I had done from my flickr. It's just too much negativity I don't want to associate with right now, which is a shame, cuz I was looking forward to the comp, and now it just feels ruined to me. This is coming late in the day. I had actually finished the space earlier today but had to head to work. There really isn't much to really go over with this formal dining room, because that is exactly what it is. So, on with the slideshow. So as I have time before work tonight, I realized I forgot the wine cellar underneath the kitchen. So as I had the kitchen completely done and didn't want to reconfigure it, I decided to bump out the entrance of the kitchen and add in an elevator on one side. I bumped out the other side as well, so I may take an elevator upstairs, or will leave it as is, just depending on what I add in that area upstairs. The darkened area next to the kitchen will become the formal dining room. Now, on to the cellar in slideshow form to showcase the secret room and the main cellar. Plenty of space for a wine connoisseur, and a secret area to not only create the Family Wine, but to house the finest wine. With this much space, the wine can age over the generations, and the heir could create a wine to age for future generations in the secret room. So because of this, the smaller yard is now going to become a vineyard.
So I was able to work on the mudroom off the garage and the eat in kitchen. So mudroom first. Dark stained floors and white washed walls. I am thinking of changing the armoire to a different color, a more polished wood color, or I'll white wash it. The mud room is huge. The painting is one of mine and is available on the LE Style portion of the website. I am trying to stage each room as I go, so I don't want to add too much to the rooms, but still give the option to have a "lived in" space. All of the cabinetry is from ATS3, one of their newest conversions paired with the Edwardian set from the TS3 Store. In the island I have a "prep space" close to the stove and a breakfast bar on the other side. I also placed the wood oven next to the stove just to add a bit of luxury. I thought a nice brick back splash against the white cabinetry and black counter tops would be a classy way to go. I also just realized I forgot to add in any type of trash disposal. Another day. Another angle to show off the ice box. I kinda wish that double wall ovens and cooktops were available for the Sims. Ah well!
