The Shaw Household The home they live in isn't quite big enough for Emiliana, Halo and the three Unicorns. But Emiliana can't just abandon them after rescuing them, having lost their mother, and with the bond she is developing with each animal, she plans to take the Equestrian World by storm in breeding, racing, jumping, cross country - everything expected of a world renowned horse rancher, or rather she WILL be, someday. This is their tiny home. Well, for a family of their size. First though, she needs to get her riding skills up. She's quite nervous being on Starla, especially when Starla takes off galloping. "Whoa! Starla! Whoa!" Emiliana exclaimed, slowing Starla down to a much more manageable trot. Emiliana was happy for Starla's endless patience. She knows she was a nervous wreck, but Starla took it in stride and didn't allow her inexperienced rider to spook or agitate her. When Emiliana heard there was going to be a racing competition, she signed them up for it. She wanted to test their mettle so they knew what areas to work on. They came last. "So a lot then," Emiliana murmured to Starla, with earned a neigh in agreement. Not letting it discourage her, Emiliana and Starla practiced in between looking after Halo and the two foals. Even in the rain. Emiliana's confidence began to grow and it seemed as though Starla trusted her more and was becoming faster and more agile. Later that same week, Emiliana and Starla won $400 for placing second in a racing competition and $25 for placing 6th in a jumping competition. Not near enough to move out of their current home, but it was a start as they both continue to work on their bond. Of course the foals needed attention too. Emiliana thought it best to get their training started early by leading them around the surrounding area of her small ranch. It was made easier as Frosticle would follow Cinnamon everywhere, but Frosticle still needed to get used to the bridle since Cinnamon wouldn't always been in the same race as her. She also needed to learn to trust Emiliana if she was to ever enter any Equestrian competitions. And of course it wouldn't do to have Goldie not receive any training, so Emiliana taught her how to hunt. Who knows, maybe Goldie will find some valuable stuff so that they could move into a bigger ranch sooner. While the young ones were training with Emiliana, Starla decided to spend the day practicing to jump. There was a competition coming up and Starla wanted to do her best for her rider. The jumps did pay off, and the pair ended up in second place, but in the racing competition, Emiliana and Starla took home the gold. In Part two, the pair tackle a jumping course. Will Starla lose her nerve?
