I had asked where Ninja was, because the assignment was due April 3rd and there was neither hide nor hair from Ninja or the other judges until Mariesalias. Having RL issues is top priority of course, but this competition was brought to the modelling forum back in November. It has been going on for 5 MONTHS. That is more than enough time for any competition. There was some trouble at the beginning and a few dropped. Myself and a few others stayed in it (despite a discussion I had with a friend of mine). I had already decided to drop and it is not a decision I take lightly as it is not something I like to do, but I will not stay in a competition that is so disorganized and can not trust in a swift conclusion. Yes I do feel bad that she is having health issues, but in which case, if the health issues and the pain is as bad as she has stated, then it would stand to reason to cancel the competition until a later date not continue it. There was no structure and that is no way to run a competition. But what really gets my goat is the following: Ya know that passage about Some People could be more respectful. Well as it was only Vid and myself to comment . . .FUCK YOU! Respect? How about some damn respect for your competitors. People who are using THEIR PRECIOUS TIME to be your damn competition? Oh it's just a past time for you when you have NOTHING ELSE to do. . .like a sodding afterthought? Are you Bloody kidding me? You think we have nothing better to do than to sit at the computer waiting for the almighty praise of scores and a new assignment to while away our time? I'm on vaykay this week, so yes I am a lot more active on the forums this week. But I'm also visiting my mom and getting driving lessons from my brother.
No one thinks your a robot who can just spit out responses and scores on the dime. I have always been understanding when my competitors have to drop. It happens. No one can predict real life. What stinks is when hosts/judges and competitors bugger off. Competitions are meant to be fun yes, but it also requires a certain amount of dedication as well, not something you can just think about on a rainy day. Not many would stick around for that. So in some ways, yes there is a small bit of seriousness that goes into the competition. Don't start a competition if you can't dedicate yourself to hosting. Competitors will always drop/no show, but when a host does it, it is 100 times worst. Even if it is a simple line of "Hey so . . . . ." I do enjoy the sims very much, but it seems almost comical coming from someone who admits they don't play or have the time for the sims anymore (health issues aside of course) As for Rude? Hahaha, you don't know what rude is. Everything I have said is the truth: Plain and simple. I wish the other competitors good luck if they continue it. I won't be. I'm not interested in continuing a competition where the host feels it's just an after thought. And as Vid said it is no one responsibility but Ninja's to continue her comp and maintain it.

I am Sooo excited for Island Paradise to come out. I usually avoid watching the trailers, but I can't wait for this to come out. The new possibilities for game play and for modelling. Underwater pictures will be so much easier now, and won't have to edit in a mermaid tail or download a CC one. Probably one of the first things I am going to do is explore the underwater and then build a struggling resort and each generation takes it over and continues to build. Oooh, that'll be fun. I think the only thing I don't like is the houseboat. It's looks so unrealistic. Hopefully, you can create a proper looking boat and then build from there and hopefully you can create a below deck so you can view the underwater from the portholes. This would be nice for my Castaways, much more rustic. I wonder what they've been up to lately. *whistles* I have NEVER been a fan of Dr. Who. EVA! The show just did not seem all that interesting to me, but I have managed to see two episodes of Dr. Who (one during Christmas) and the other last week (The Season Premiere on the Space Channel). I had kinda parked my tush in front of the TV last week during Good Friday and Easter Sunday and saw the Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant and then watched Dr. Who. I dunno, maybe it's the plot or Matt Smith playing Dr. Who but the show has managed to capture me at last, so I plan on a Dr. Who Marathon while I am on vacation for the next week and a half. Matt Smith does look Adorkable and I do think he makes an excellent Dr. Who (basing it on the fact, I am a fantasy/sci-fi junkie and having liked it up til now) *Off to find Dr. Who* Yup! Definitely Adorkable!! :D
But I am really excited for the new Chicken Coop coming out tomorrow in the EA Store. Hopefully I have enough simpoints for it.
During the Sims 2, I had a Plantsim family. Single Father raising his children, who were sims and plantsims. They had this gorgeous house with a greenhouse attached and accessible through the kitchen. The father also opened up a small Farmer's Market (his last name was Farmer, I couldn't think of anything original at the time) and sold his produce. After that, I was into making hybrids and turned the father into a plantsim/vampire hybrid, which was SOOO Funny!!! He wanted to be out in the sun, because he was a plantsim, but his needs would go down because of his vampire side until he "died". Then his daughter would see him lying on the ground somewhere (usually the sidewalk), and would water him to bring him "back to life". I ended up torturing him for ages. So now that we have plantsims (not that I have made one yet) I have been wanting to remake my Farmer family. This new set will be Perfect! |
