Public Service AnnouncementNormally I would have posted some updates, however, both stories are on hiatus due to working overtime for the next forseeable future. I will pick these back up in due time and if I am able I will try (no promises) to update one story per month.

Hey Ciane (and others) I'm glad you could make it over. Your final gift Ciane is not just the sims and the house, but a story of what came to pass, and so with the amount of photos, I thought this might be an easier format. :) This is Sashi Chopra, she just moved to Sunlit Tides. Her home is rather tiny and modest, but it's just her that lives there so not a huge deal. She got a job at the local restaurant and it helps pay the bills. She also has something special in her backyard. It was the Wishing Well. She would spend what spare time she had fishing the seemingly endless supply of fish, day in and day out, until one day she threw a coin in. (Slideshow below) Sashi had wished for a child, of course that's putting the cart before the horse, but whatever, it worked out for her . .sort of. Admittedly, Sashi was horrified that a demonic like child rose out of the well in a black shroud. And she was worried for a reason, that child was a prankster by nature. And enjoyed setting booby traps at the sink. But like all things, it began to turn around. A bit more luck was happening at the well. A real means for Sashi to provide for Tanya, her strange little daughter. She would fish night and day, sometimes she would find a treasure chest, sometimes a fish she's never seen before would be caught, and sometimes a special gem would be found. But what Sashi truly longed for was love. A husband, a partner, someone she could share her hopes and dreams with. A father figure for Tanya, and so one day, she wished really really hard. And he was. He played with Tanya, usually water balloon fighting was more their speed and helped to curb Tanya's more prankster side. And now you see, my part of the story ends. Sashi's soon to be husband wished for wealth and was rewarded with a pair of car keys of a very expensive car and they used that to build and furnish their home in a style they may not have had. It's up to you now to decide what will happen to this family. Can a House built on Wishes really last? Or will it fade as easily as a dream? Download link is found on the original thread >>here<< Hecate is a mysterious resident that lives in Storybrook. Most having never met her, especially those that live in the City Core. Sometimes though, for those that live in the Rural Core see an older, green skinned woman living in a small cottage with a huge pond and mountain as the backdrop. They are never sure what she is: a witch? One of the fabled PlantSims? An alien? Though none really dare to disturb her as she cares for her small garden. With the stocked pond and fruits and veggies, she does not really need to leave her home. She always has this look of resigned loneliness with a touch of Don't get too close. Children tend to avoid her place on Spooky Day and there never seems to be anyone that ever visits on any of the other simolidays. Hecate really is a recluse. What we were able to determine is that Hecate is a very promising writer, concentrating on both Non-Fiction and Horror Novels. But the Mystery of who she is still remains to be solved. We look in next on the Megacy family. The Megacy family are horse ranchers, some of the finest in the land, fast horses, good breeds, and the perfect little family: A Dad, a Mom, a first born son and a little girl. But it's not all happy fairy tales as from time to time, Ribbon and Levar get into some heated arguments in public. It was Ribbon who had all the money and the last name of Megacy, Levar was merely a stable hand at her Father's ranch. The two fell in love, although most stated that Ribbon was merely slumming it, and the two married young, against her father's protests. Ribbon was, at the time, rebelling, that she was no more than an Imaginary Friend turned real by the same little boy she used to play with, only all grown up, childless and calling her Daughter. Most days, after a big fight, Levar would hop on Kingston and train. And every night, they would go out and compete for first place in every competition they enter. But it was still not enough to please Ribbon. We will revisit the Megacy family again, but lets pop into this household here, home of Dimitri, the Casanova of Storybrook. Dimitri leaves on the beach in a beautifully decorated home built for one. He likes it that way, secluded for the most part, and not having to change his bachelor like ways just yet. He is engaged to a Genie from the City Core. She beautiful and rich and loves to party. She finds small gatherings a waste of time and has no idea just how naughty of a reputation Dimitri has. Genie insisted he host a Bachelor Party before their I Dos, and Dimitri invited two of his friends, Tink Ann . . . . . .who really is nothing more than a friend, as there are no romantic interests whatsoever, and he also invited Zirnia, an Alien Fairy he met at the Arboretum. One he may choose to become a fairy for. He enjoys her company because she isn't looking for anything too serious, not that they ever are serious with each other. When Tink-Ann had left, Dimitri found it was the perfect time to get to know Zirnia a little better, and well into the morning. They parted ways, but could it be that something more is going to come of this encounter than Dimitri would have wanted? And how will Genie take it to learn her Fiance is nothing more than a womanizer? Dimitri's Naughty Reputation continues to make its way across the Rural Core of Storybrook, because as it is known, if you are looking for a reliable woohooty text, Dimitri is your sim. We explore this and more as we get to know Rosalyn.
Yesterday afternoon as I was heading home I was going to drive through the Walmart parking lot. There were two police cars on either side of the entrance. Later in the day it was revealed that a guy had called into the local police for a bomb threat. The unit from another province had to be called to do a sweep with a K-9 unit. Things like that don't really happen here. You are more likely to see a car accident as people try to look at what is going on over a bomb going off. Which very nearly happened as I saw one man in a truck with his head swiveled around to check out the store.
My brother works there so I am sure he will fill me in. Things like this become the talk of the town fairly quickly and for a fair amount of time. A coworker's boyrfriend went to schooI with the guy who had called it in and it was done mostly for the "kicks" of it. As I said, things like that don't really happen here a whole lot, but the response time of the officials is amazing. Usually it's done to get talked about, because when things like this DO happen, it's mostly what people talk about. I stand by previous thought of wtf is wrong with people? |
